The Au Gres Boat Launch is one of the largest boat access sites to Lake Huron. Facilities include 4 boat ramps which can launch eight boats at one time, restrooms, and a pier along the Au Gres River and Saginaw Bay. Pier is used by walkers, joggers or just for a tranquil view of Saginaw Bay. Great fishing available along the piers. State of Michigan Recreation Passport is required for entry. Can buy annual recreation passport when you renew license plate tab through Secretary of State office for $11 annually. This allows access to all State of Michigan Boat launches.

City of Au Gres Riverfront Campground has 108 camp sites available for daily, weekly, monthly or seasonal rates. All major credit cards are accepted. Call989-876-8310 for questions or reservations can be made online at http://cityofaugrescampground.com/reservations/. Inside the City Park, facilities for public to use include tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball court, baseball/softball fields, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and children’s playground and lighted riverfront walkway. All sporting equipment must be provided by patrons.

The Arenac County Park & Beach is located 3199 Rumsey Road, Au Gres, MI 48703. This facility includes cabins available for rent along with day-use Park with picnic tables, grills, volleyball, horseshoes and 900’ of sandy beach front. County Park which requires entry fee: $3 daily pass to walk or bike in, $5 daily pass per car county resident, $7 daily pass per car non-county resident, $30 season pass per car (includes admission to Oasis Lake Park, also in Arenac County). Owned by the City of Au Gres, the Au Gres Riverside Park is located on the Au Gres River at the US-23 Bridge in downtown Au Gres. The Park, which was once a "harbor of refuge" was deemed a harbor of refuge for boats to tie up in case of emergency but facilities were closed. The Riverside Park not only offers, boat docks but also a Riverside Water Pad and Playscape for the kids. The Park is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, campground, ice cream, wine tasting shop and so much more! There is a total of 30 boat slips. New owners in 2015! Located on 2325 Green Drive, Au Gres. The marina with RV and tent sites available, rental boats with motors, perch fishing charter and bait and tackle store. Located directly on Saginaw Bay, closest point to Charity Islands. We promote our place as a “fish camp” having dockage and campsites. The unique features of Point Au Gres Marina and campground are that we are directly on Saginaw Bay. We feature a boat launch directly onto Saginaw Bay. Walleye, perch and bass fishing is right there. Green Drive bisects the 10 acre campground with the marina and boat launch on the east side of the road. A woods surrounds the campsites on the west side of the road. It is an easy walk to the water from the west side of the campground. There are 75 campsites and 80 boat docks. Campsites range from primitive to full hook-up with 30 and 50 amp service. There is a modern bathhouse with hot showers. All sites are grass. Some sites are in the sun and some sites are shaded. Open May 1 to October 1.

Come and see one of Michigan’s beautiful lighthouses. Point Lookout juts from the shore on the western shore of Lake Huron, approximately half-way between the mouth of the Saginaw River and Tawas Point. With only five to eighteen feet above it, Gravelly Shoal extends some 3 miles southeasterly from Point Lookout towards Big Charity Island. To help guide down-bound vessels headed for Saginaw Bay through the deeper water lying between the southeast end of Gravelly Shoal and Big Charity Island.

Within the Au Gres City limits, you will find the newer streets all are pedestrian-friendly with sidewalks for safe biking, walking, rollerblading or skateboarding. City’s bike trail project just recently finished which starts out from the Au Gres City Park on North Main Street and continues down South Main Street and going out all all the way out to the Au Gres State Boat Access Site/mouth of the Au Gres River.
