Rates for Cabins

Rates for Cabins season April 15th - October 15th and has a required 2 night minimum stay Monday through Sunday. Cabins include bunks (sleep 6 max), table, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric, outside water faucet, outside grill & fire pit. No Smoking and No Pets allowed in Cabins. A one-time cleaning fee of $12 will be assessed for each cabin rental on top of these rates. Non-refundable deposit on cabins.

The Au Gres City Park is one of Michigan's most popular family campgrounds. The park features a total of 109 campsites (33 on the river, 50 off the river and 26 w/ sewer) available for daily, weekly or monthly rental with choices. Within the park itself is the Lions Club Community Building which is available for daily rental and may be used by civic groups throughout Michigan for a meeting place at the park.

The park features a family picnic and day use area with barbecue grills, playground equipment and restroom facilities. Also available within the park is a fish cleaning station. There is also a State boat launch just down the road from the park which provides great access to Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron (via Au Gres River) for superb boating and fishing.

With Saginaw Bay only a short distance from your camping space, fishing is a major activity in the area. And whether you prefer to participate from the Pt. Lookout Harbor of Refuge or from a boat, the fishing's great on Saginaw Bay. One of the top family fisheries is the bay's bountiful perch supply and a check with any of our personnel will provide you with a lead to the week's hot spot. Or, if your prefer, state plantings of walleye provide "big fish" thrills and there are fishing tournaments if you would like to participate.

Fishing is great but we can also offer you the use of two baseball fields, two lighted tennis courts, volleyball court, kayak rental and two lighted basketball courts. Also, a nice stroll around the park on the lighted Riverfront walkway could lead you to a shuffleboard and a horseshoe pit available for your convenience. During the summer a classic car cruise and show along with a craft show is held for your entertainment.

Our outdoor activity isn't limited to only warm weather months, you can also take advantage of the Au Gres Area to provide you with a base of operations for ice fishing, snowmobiling and other winter activities in Arenac County such as the Au Gres Chamber of Commerce Winterfest. Our most popular winter activities is cross country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling.

1). Speed limit 10 mph.
2). All sites must be renewed by 10:00 AM on the scheduled departure date or they will be considered available for other campers.
3). Before changing sites, check with park office first.
4). Only one camping unit per site. No more than one vehicle per site, all others must park in designated area.
5). Dogs and other pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs and other pets shall be walked in designated walk area. All droppings on your lot or any other lot by your pet shall be cleaned up immediately and deposited in dumpster.
6). Fires are allowed only in fire-pits, grills, or approved areas.
7). Please do not cut any trees or shrubs in the park.
8). Quiet time is 11:00 PM.
9). All fish must be cleaned at fish cleaning station.
10). The management will not be responsible for losses, damages, or injuries to your party.
11). Absolutely no dumping of gray water or sewage on ground. All containers must have tight fitting lids and dumped only at dumping station. THIS IS STATE LAW!
12). Please put trash in plastic bags and place in trash containers.
13). Check out time is 12:00 pm (noon).
14). River frontage on all sites must be shared with other off river campers, including an area for boat tie-up. Caretaker will designate an area to tie up boat upon your arrival.
15). Boat docks allowed only if permission is granted by Park Caretaker.
